SIDETRACK CAVE Derbyshire's Latest Discovery:

TITAN: Update - 6th October 2002:
With the gap closing between the surface dig and the choke in Titan an attempt was made to make a voice connection but this failed. However, conventional PMR446 two-way radios were taken to both sides and clear communication was possible so the distance between can't be far....

GIANT'S HOLE Sold - October 2002:
Peakshill Farm and its land is to be sold by auction on Saturday 26th October. The DCA have advised that cavers steer clear of Giant's Hole for the day. The DCA will also be in communication with the new owners with regard to continued access for cavers. Any future arangements will be publicised by the DCA and on the Peak District Caving web site.

 KNOTLOW CAVERN: Air analasys report from Ralph Johnson - October 2002:
The air in Knotlow has recently been analised and the CO2 level was found to be at 2.7% - distinctly unhealthy!

WATER ICICLE CLOSE CAVERN: Air analasys report from Ralph Johnson - October 2002:
Air quality poor in Water Icicle. (17.5% O2) Lathkill Head (Upper) OK. The stream was dry with a faint draft. Conditions
MAY deteriorate when water levels are high.
